Baked Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Baked Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Fish is a delightful way to eat healthily and enjoy a delicious meal. While I enjoy many different kinds of seafood, generally it is not the first thing I crave or desire to have, with the exception of shrimp. I love shrimp! However, I have enjoyed making different kinds of fish. I tend to like fish that is not covered in a thick coat of batter, but I know some of you will disagree with me on that.

This was a quick little meal I put together. It was very enjoyable and I highly encourage you to try it out. Asparagus is currently in season in southern Ontario, so that was my first part of the meal that I was working around. I chose to just roast it with some oil and spices this time. I had also been really wanting to try orchardmarketnewsandchews Mushroom Fried Rice, and so that was an easy side choice for this fish. The rice was delicious and my husband said we will definitely be doing that again!

My meat for this supper was the Tilapia recipe I am going to share with you here. It was tasty too and easy to put together. I used frozen fish, but thawed it first. Tilapia is my favourite kind of fish. I find it not too fishy smelling or tasting and it has a nice texture.

To begin pat the thawed or fresh fish dry and place them on a lined baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Mix the lemon juice, butter, garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper together in a bowl.

Pour the mixture over the fish.

Cut lemon slices and arrange them in between the fillets.

Bake the fish for about 15 – 20 minutes.
